Appesat Seaweed Diet Pill

Buy Appesat UKAppesat, it would appear, has a rather large marketing budget at its disposal – the manufacturers Goldshield are not wasting the opportunity to get their message out to the masses.

Appesat has been recently released into the  over the counter market and billed as “The New Diet Pill Made From Seaweed That Can Train Your Stomach Into Wanting Less Food.”

So, basically an Appetite Suppressant.

Appesat has an awful lot of positives from a marketing perspective.

The manufacturers claim that their patented Bioginate Complex (seaweed extract) works differently to competing appetite suppressants.

A majority of natural appetite suppressant use plant extracts and effect sensors in the brain into creating a feeling of fullness or satiety.

Appesat, on the other hand causes a more physical effect by not only stimulating hunger sensors but also expanding in the stomach.

Is Appesat The New Miracle Diet Pill

2009 has been coined the “year of the miracle diet pill” with Appesat being the latest diet product to adorn the shelves of the likes of Tesco, Sainsburys, Boots the Chemist and Holland & Barrett.

The truth of the matter is that although Appesat appears to have just been launched and is pre-fixed with “new” it has been available to buy direct since mid 2008.

“There is very limited and poor evidence supporting it”

Appesat User Experiences And Clinical Proof

To date, the consumer reviews and customer comments have been mixed. For every positive slimming success story there is another that suggests Appesat not only did not live up to expectation but also caused an upset stomach and usual bowel movements.

The clinical trials appear to be very thorough according to the official literature but more impartial and independent sources are less than impressed with the evidence.

Health and nutrition experts suggest “There is very limited and poor evidence supporting Appesat” … It is not yet fully understood what the long term ramifications are from using seaweed extract to control appetite.

Alternatives To Appesat

The feeling is that products such as Appesat are trying to re-invent the wheel as far as appetite suppressants are concerned.

“Hoodia is a pill that kills  appetite and attacks obesity.” BBC Correspondent 2003

Hoodia Gordonii has been available to dieters in capsule form for a little over a  decade and has centuries of working proof – the indigenous South African population have been using raw Hoodia powder for generations to curb hunger (for an altogether different reason) with unrivaled success and no ill effect.

Unique HoodiaIt is largely accepted in all quarters that raw Hoodia powder is the most effective natural substance for suppressing appetite, reducing the need and want for food and ultimately aiding the weight loss process.

Dytrexil Hoodia

Oct 17, 2008   Categories: Dytrexil

Dytrexil Hoodia Capsules Review

Dytrexil is quite unusual as it is one of the few Hoodia diet pill products that does not capitalise on the word Hoodia within its branding.

Marketed as 100% pure Hoodia Gordonii, Dytrexil claims that it can suppress appetite and increase the metabolism to gently burn fat.

The problem here is that Hoodia does not burn fat, it is an appetite suppressant and not a fat burner.

So there must be other ingredients present which rather contradicts the 100% pure Hoodia Gordonii message.

What is Dytrexil

As touched upon, Dytrexil is a Hoodia product that claims to be authentic South African Hoodia Gordonii – the official websites states it authenticity but actual documented proof does not appear to exit. There is no CITES certificate displayed.

The official website has an FAQ section where one of the questions is “Who Is Our [Dytrexil] Supplier” the answer quite comically is “Due to obvious business considerations, we don’t want to specifically name our supplier and alert competitors to our source.”

Including the supplier details would prove authenticity – so why not display? Brands such as Pure Hoodia freely display all documentation and certificates – it doesn’t appear to have harmed their business, it is still going strong after 10 years.

Dytrexil also claims that the product contains 1200mg of Hoodia Gordonii. This is where the problem lies, not just with Dytrexil but so many other hoodia products.

Some Hoodia Products contain Hoodia Gordonii powder – this is raw Hoodia that is considered the most potent form, undiluted and unprocessed. A standard sized capsule or vegecap can store 400mg of raw powder.

Some Hoodia products contain Hoodia extract. Hoodia extract is cheaper to produce and subsequently sells for approximately half the price of Hoodia powder products. Anything up to 1200mg of extract can be squeezed into a capsule.

Dytrexil contains Hoodia extract – this is a major negative.

Does Dytexil Cause Side Effects

Unlikely to cause any side effects. Both extract and powder are natural and relatively free of side effects.

Should I Buy Dytrexil

Not recommended.
